Leticia Almeida (Tanky) is a Uruguayan transdisciplinary artist, communicator, educator, and researcher.

Her work explores the construction of identity and physical and digital transcendence; the body and its mediated representations; as well as ecologies, death, and magical practices inhabiting the multiple realities of the technocene. Driven by a critical and philosophical approach, her practice moves across video, installation, media arts, XR, AI, sculpture, and sonic experimentation.

She has received awards and has participated in biennials, exhibitions, talks, and conferences at museums, festivals, cultural centers, and universities nationally and internationally.
